Iphone Case Makeover

Last night I was very busy for about two and a half hours making a serious makeover on my iPhone case. It is very easy to do. All that you need is:

• Iphone case
• acrylic flat back rhinestones
• Hot glue gun
• a lot of  patience

I am a stay at home mother of two beautiful girls that are 1 and 2 years old. I have a wonderful husband that loves me and supports my new business. I sell crocheted and hand sewin items for the majority and other crafts. 

My sister makes all the bows that are in my shop. I've been sewing and crocheting since I was about 10 years old. I was surrounded by several forms of crafts through my family grandmothers, mother, and even my grandfather who makes wooden items that I hope to have in my shop soon. My entire family supports me and I hope that Etsy will eventually help support my family one day.
Mostly I get my ideas from books and patterns that I might see online or even at a craft store or magazine. Then once I get an idea I try to make it my own whether its just changing the color or changing it completely. I love making items for my friends and family as gifts so I get a lot of ideas from them as well.

I dont really have a favorite item because I make what I love and what I would hope people like me love too. I use what I sale and make things for me just as much as I do on Etsy.

I am a very new shop I've only been open since Jan 4th but I am a former Etsian from about a year ago. JollyJennifer: Etsy's Featured Seller

1. Name and a little background information about you and what do you sell in your shop.
 My name is Jennifer (thus the JollyJennifer ;) I'm 25, single. I have a culinary arts degree but decided that it just wasn't for me. In my shop I sell a variety of items from polymer clay sculptures to my swirl art, all types of jewelry and paper products such as cards, tags, origami boxes, etc. 

2. When and how did you get started in your craft?
I've always been a crafter-the creative one in the family. I've collected things over the years and dabbled in this and that until I dated a guy and he told me his mom had an etsy shop. I learned more about it and got more serious about my crafts. 

3. Could you explain a little how is your creative process?
I've mostly been sticking to ACEO size work for now. I start off by sketching a basic design with pencil and then taking a thin marker to make a basic outline. Alternating around the page, I fill it in with swirls. If you watched me you'd think I was a little scattered with my technique, but I think the specific order that I do things in a picture is what makes it so captivating. Making each piece of art takes a lot of time and hurts my hands after not too long, so I take my time. 

4. How long have you been selling your craft?
I joined Etsy July 2, 2009. 
5. Do you have a favorite item from your store and why?
It's too hard to pick a favorite. Each new item is my favorite! 

6. What do you want to achive from Etsy?
It would be amazing to be able to just rely on funds from Etsy, but I don't honestly get that many sales (I usually trade as much as I sell). I hope to return to school soon to get my masters and teaching certificate. While that is my end goal in full time employment, I plan to keep up with Etsy. If nothing else, it's a creative outlet for me that I enjoy. I have plans to use my Etsy funds as a savings account to return to Poland for a vacation. I lived there for a year and a half and I've been dieing to return and see all the friends I miss. On a side note, I also have another shop called Crafting4Causes.etsy.com where I donate all proceeds to good causes each month. My goal is just to help as much as I can with that :)

Recycling And making Unique Creations

Being able to use the internet is fascinating to me because I learn something new every day.

 I came from Cuba  4 years ago and using the internet in Cuba is almost impossible.

Some time ago I had the idea of making a dress with large flowers over the shoulder. Not sure how to make the flowers and thanks to the internet I could find several web sites that had tutorial to learn how to make them.

Handmade Dolls Made By My Mom

My mom is a very creative and talented person. When I was a little kid she made us all our clothes to my two sisters and me. Beautiful dresses, trousers, skirts, even underwear. I inherit my creativity from her and I feel so much pride in that. For several years she has been dedicated to making rag dolls and possibly the number of dolls that she has made so far are close to 1000. Here are a small sample of her work. Mi mama es una persona muy creativa y talentosa. Cuando era pequena ella nos hacia la ropa a mi y a mis dos hermanas. Hermosos vestidos, pantalones, sayas, incluso la ropa interior. De ella herede mi creatividad y siento mucho orgullo por eso. My mind almost never is quiet. I always have new ideas that I want to do and very often I do not have the necessary time. In April 2007 I found on the Internet a website for wonderful creators like me called Etsy. For me this has been a wonderful opportunity to sell my creations. I started doing bags, then headbands and other hair ornaments and selling them at an Etsy store called Muapurses. As I am always doing something new I decided that the best thing would open a new store where I could sell my new creations and see what happens. Thus was born Chuletin Designs and as first pieces I would like to introduce my collection of gift boxes. I hope that you like them as much as I enjoy making them.

Mi mente casi nunca esta tranquila. Siempre tengo ideas nuevas que quiero hacer y muchas veces no tengo el tiempo necesario. En Abril de 2007 encontre en el Internet el maravilloso sitio para creadores como yo llamado Etsy. Para mi ha sido una maravillosa oportunidad para vender mis creaciones. Empece haciendo bolsas y otros adornos para el cabello y vendiendolos en mi tienda en Etsy llamada Muapurses. Como siempre estoy haciendo algo nuevo por eso decidi que lo mejor seria abrir una tienda nueva donde pudiera vender mis nuevas creaciones y ver que sucede.
